Not every Football match is played on TV, most of it is played out in the fresh air and on your doorstep!
Stalybridge Celtic Foundation have created the ‘£5 Fresh Air Football’ Ticket initiative which will see pupils from fifty five local Primary Schools given the opportunity to attend a fixture at Bower Fold, with an adult for just £5.00……yes £5.00!
The schools will be split into seven areas, with one area being chosen per fixture, allowing children to attend the games with friends who attend nearby schools, and also providing them with three opportunities throughout the season to access Bower Fold as part of the Ticket Initiative.
The areas are as follows –
Area One (Stalybridge) – Arlies, Buckton Vale, St. Raphael’s, Millbrook, St. Pauls, Gorse Hall, Silver Springs & Wild Bank.
Area Two (Stalybridge/Longdendale) – Arundale, Pinfold, St. James’ (Hattersley), Stalyhill, St. Peter’s (Stalybridge), Hollingworth, Broadbottom & Mottram.
Area Three (Dukinfield/Ashton) – Broadbent Fold, Lyndhurst, Ravensfield, St. John’s, St. Mary’s, Yew Tree, Ashton West End & St. Peter’s (Ashton).

Community Development Officer, Mike Smith “We are looking forward to welcoming new families to our Home matches, and want to get the local Primary School children fully behind the team, attending Bower Fold on a Saturday afternoon in full voice to cheer Stalybridge Celtic up the league. This initiative allows parents to come along and watch a decent game of football, support their local team, enjoy the fresh air….all for £5! Hopefully, they will enjoy their Bower Fold Experience and continue to support the Bridge for many years to come”.
To add to the Ticket offer, we have teamed up with McDonalds in Hattersley, so that everyone who visits the restaurant with a valid Match Day Ticket, can claim a free, yes Free…Happy Meal*, so lunch and a football match, and still have change of £10.00.
Along with a visit to Bower Fold, we also have an ‘Autograph Hunt’ sheet, so the ticket holder can try and collect signatures of Stalybridge Celtic players and staff, who are easily accessible at the ground, you’ve just got to find them!
