She Scores Under 11’s Cup

Our ‘She Scores’ Competition, is aimed at giving under 11’s (Year 5/6) girls the opportunity to play competitive football for their school in a safe, enjoyable, friendly environment.

The competition has been running on an annual basis since 2014 and is open to ALL Tameside Primary Schools, who can enter one or two teams to participate.

Initially, the tournament was staged over two dates, with the winners from both events playing in the Final on the pitch at Bower Fold, during half-time at the last Home game of the season.

In 2015 and 2016, as the event grew in both schools entering and girls playing, ‘She Scores’ moved to a Monthly League format (January, February, March and April), with game days taking place over two venues.

The top two Teams from each venue, would then make their way to Bower Fold for ‘Finals Day’. Again this was held on the pitch at Stalybridge Celtic FC, with the semi-finals taking place before kick-off and the Final during half-time. This format has proved very popular, with almost 200 girls taking part in the overall competition.

2014 Winners – St. Christopher’s Primary (Ashton-under-Lyne)
2015 Winners – St. Paul’s Primary (Stalybridge)
